PROF. DR. HAYAT MUHAMMAD AWAN

Prof. Dr. Hayat M. Awan Pro Rector, Institute of Southern Punjab Pakistan.  He offered his services as Director Air University Multan Campus since March 2011-2021. He served as Meritorious Professor in Institute of Management Sciences, Bahauddin Zakariya University, Multan. He graduated from Karachi University and got his PhD (1981) (Operations Management) and MS (1979) degrees both from University of Toronto, Canada. He has been in the field of education for more than forty two years and held various senior positions at national and international levels; University of Wisconsin-Madison USA as Assistant Professor, Vice Chancellor Bahauddin Zakariya University, Dean of faculty, and as Professor in BZU. He has provided his dedicated services for the improvement of quality in higher education as Chairman Quality Enhancement Cell and Chairman of BZU Research Committee. Besides his teaching assignments he held senior administrative positions as Chairman of various departments, Chairman Board of Studies Business Administration and project director of various development projects. He has also contributed in the development of External linkages with foreign universities. He is author of more than 60 research articles in the field of Finance, Operations Management, Total Quality Management and ISO 9000, which have been presented in different international conferences and published in well reputed international journals. He has been recognized for his academic expertise by the Higher Education Commission of Pakistan and awarded with Best Teacher Award 2003. He is approved scholar for the supervision of PhD research by the HEC
