I strive to become a lively part of academia where learning is promoted,

 Programme Leader – BA (Hons) International Business (a flagship EPAS accredited programme).
Responsibilities include overall management of the programme, annual monitoring and evaluation report
(AMER), enhancing student experience, manage study abroad and liaise with academic and admin staff and
senior management.
 Module Leader and member of teaching team of various modules including Accounting for Business,
Advance Management Accounting, Islamic Banking and Finance, Strategic Management Accounting.
 Dissertation supervision at postgraduate and undergraduate levels.
 Active member of research theme ‘Organisations, Markets and Policy (OMP)’. The OMP is striving to make a
positive contribution to REF exercise and promote thematic research with in the business school.
 Research active – regularly publishing articles in international research journals.

In February 2018, hosted a workshop on ‘Debt on Low Incomes and Austerity’ in office of Money Advice UK. The
event was attended by Step Change, Citizen Advice Bureau, Christians Against Poverty, Money Advice UK and
Shadow Minister for Work and Pension.
Participated in the BAFA Annual Conference in Brighton in April 2012 and presented a paper titled ‘Revisiting
Creative Accounting in the Context of Alternative Financial System?’. Dr Haider Shah is co-author. The paper is
submitted.
Co-author of paper titled ‘The Rise and Fall of Strategic Performance Measurement in the Public Sector’. The
paper was presented in Annual Conference of European Accounting Association (EAA) in Estonia in May 2012.
Participated in the BAA Annual Conference in Blackpool in April 2008 and presented a paper titled ‘Creative
Accounting Practice and Business Performance’. Professor Jonathan Liu and Dr Orthodoxia Kyriacou are coauthors. The paper is published.
Participated in BAA South Eastern Regional Conferences in University of Westminster and Oxford Brookes
University in 2007 and 2008 respectively.
Presented a paper on ‘Random Walk in Emerging Markets: A case study of Karachi Stock Exchange (KSE)’ in the
International Conference on Emerging Markets in University of Westminster in 2004.
Participated in the Annual Globalization Conference jointly held by BAA and AAA in Cambridge in 2000.
Participated and presented a paper in the doctoral session in the Annual Conference of BAA in Exeter in 1999.
